How to Download Twitter/X Videos on iPhone and Android
Downloading a video from X on your phone trips people up for a simple reason: neither iOS nor Android gives you a built-in "save video" option when you're just scrolling the app or browsing in Safari or Chrome. There's no app to install, though — a browser-based tool handles the whole thing in a few taps.
iPhone (Safari or any browser)
- Open the X post with the video you want, and tap Share → Copy Link (or just copy the URL from the address bar if you're already in a browser).
- Go to savenowx.com and paste the link into the box.
- Tap Get video, then pick a quality.
- Tap the download button for that quality — the video saves through your browser's normal download flow, the same as saving any file.
- Find it in the Files app under Downloads, or in your Photos app if your browser is set to save videos there directly.
One thing worth knowing specifically for iPhone: Safari sometimes wants to play a video inline instead of downloading it, depending on the site. Why you don't need an app at all

If a download doesn't seem to work
A couple of things worth checking on mobile specifically:
- Low storage — video files can be sizeable at higher quality; if your phone's nearly full, try a lower resolution.
- Browser download settings — some browsers have a setting for "ask where to save each file," which can make it look like nothing happened when really it's just waiting for you to confirm a location.
